I have worked with over fifty clients, accompanying each one on a journey towards fulfilling their dreams. The spectrum of topics I have encountered is wide and diverse, reflecting the multifaceted challenges we all navigate over time. Some clients need to build a house or resolve a conflict with a loved one. Others may struggle with their weight loss journey or simply want to have more time to cultivate their garden.
The distinct advantage in my practice is my experience with clients from various backgrounds. I have coached people from the USA, Ghana, and India. In the context of my MBA research, my primary focus centers on the differences in coaching people from the Czech Republic and Ghana. Exploration of both cultures through coaching has been enriching and added depth to my understanding, yielding remarkable findings.
I noticed a significant difference in the primary focus of each individual. Ghanaians frequently talk about fundamental needs, like ensuring a roof over their head or stable income from their business, and getting closer to God. Men and women in Ghana have different roles; women often take care of the household, while men are working. The practice of coaching is new for many of them, so I always aim to provide an understanding of what I do and how coaching uniquely supports them as they navigate their goals.
I place strong emphasis on the coach’s role in supporting the discovery of the client’s inherent potential, actively encouraging and stimulating its realization toward desired outcomes. On the flip side, it’s crucial to dispel the myth that coaches merely offer advice and tips. Instead, my approach focuses on empowering clients to unlock their own insights and solutions, fostering a self-discovery journey for sustainable personal development.
We coaches firmly believe that clients harbor the answers within themselves, no matter where they come from.
